Pablo Zabaleta Biography
Pablo Zabaleta is a versatile defender who signed for Manchester City in the summer of 2009.
A fiercely competitive right back, he can also operate just as effectively on the right side or in the centre of midfield. Pablo began his career in Argentina with San Lorenzo before moving to Europe, where he played for Espanyol prior to signing for City.
Pablo soon became a regular for the Blues. His no-nonsense approach and determination have made him a popular figure with City fans and he scored his first senior goal for the club when he netted the winner at home to Wigan in January 2009.
He was a regular for the Blues in 2010-11, helping the team achieve a top-three finish in the Premier League and coming on as a substitute in the FA Cup final victory over Stoke.
Pablo was a member of the Argentina teams that won the FIFA U20 world title in 2005 and the Olympic Games gold medal in 2008.
